Inspiring Futures

 

Sarah Doxat-Pratt was able to attend the annual NCJAA Anne Peaker lecture, an annual event named in honour of Anne Peaker, a pioneer of arts for, and by, people in the criminal justice system. The event included performances by poets and spoken word artists, a keynote address by François Matarasso (community artist and researcher) followed by a Q&A and networking drinks.

Inspiring Futures is a 3-year research project investigating the impact and meaning of arts projects in the criminal justice system. It is an independent research project, embedded into the Inspiring Futures programme run by the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance, investigating the work of a number of arts partner organisations. It is funded by the ESRC.
