About the project
The Inspiring Futures project is the research component of the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance’s Inspiring Futures programme – an ambitious array of work, bringing together leading arts in criminal justice organisations to provide a ground-breaking artistic programme in prisons and the community. Funded by the ESRC, the research is independent but embedded within the Inspiring Futures programme. It aims to establish a new cross-disciplinary theory of arts impact in the criminal justice sector. It will also develop a comprehensive and theoretically-informed evaluation framework to measure the many different ways in which the arts within criminal justice provision can impact individuals, communities, and society.
